“ Amazing amazing food. Food is either traditional or just slightly cooked differently. For instance, the fried green tomatoes are thinner than you normally get, however, it gives a definite fried pickle chip vibe and is extra crispy. Think of some of the batter sticking together and get a whole grouping of crispy fried green tomatoes All the dessert you can eat. Wonderful pictures on the wall with historical significance. Highly recommend this ”

“ My coworkers were in town for a project and didn't know the area but found this restaurant on google due to it being open early and had excellent rates. We almost didn't go in due to the sign that read "cash only" but one of the my coworkers had cash. The people that work here were so friendly and welcoming. We all ordered the catfish plate. They did not hold back. They provided more fish than any one of us could eat. I have had a lot of catfish but theirs to one of the best. If I am back in the area I am definitely coming back. ”
“ Saw the reviews here and decided to eat here on our vacation. When we walked in at 4:20pm (Sat), the line was 10 deep with about that many waiting for their orders. I ordered catfish, hubby ordered ocean perch, both with fries and coleslaw. It was about a 20" wait. The fish was delicious. We could have split one order and had fish to spare. This is down home cookin'. If you're in Jackson, come check it out! ”

“ LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!! I've been eating Martin's all my life. Can't NOTHING beat them in Jackson in my opinion and my family believes the same thing. Just got 4 plates today!!!! I'll be going back for the breakfast in the morning!!! I need some grits, eggs, sausage before I go to work. The staff is always friendly and will make you laugh . It gives the family environment, plenty of space, peace and safety. Great prices, great food, great service. You can't beat that with a stick!!! Everytime I come over here, I'm definitely getting some!!! ”

“ Visiting with family and we all decided we wanted some fried fish. After reviewing Yelp places, we decided on Martin's. There is about 8 parking spaces outside, wasn't a big deal when we first arrived we were the only car. When we left every parking spot was taken. We ordered (3) Catfish Platters, Shrimp Po' Boy, large side of Fried Okra and French fries. Each platter came with 2 sides and 3 hush puppies. Fish was cooked perfectly, good flavor. French fries were crispy. Mac & Cheese was good, fried okra was tasty. Shrimp Po' Boy was good as well. All these orders fed 5 adults, and we still have enough left over for tomorrow. I would definitely be back, either on this trip or the next time I return to Mississippi. ”
